Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

How MisterLogo works, what you can do with the logos, and where they come from.

What is MisterLogo?

MisterLogo is a free reference library of 4,225 brand logos. Every logo has its own page with SVG and PNG downloads, its colour code in HEX, RGB, HSL and CMYK, and a link to the brand’s official guidelines where they exist.

Are the logos free to download?

Yes. Every file on the site is free to download, with no account needed. The files are free, but the logos themselves are still trademarks of the companies they belong to, so how you use them matters. See the next question.

Can I use these logos in my work?

Generally, yes, when you use a logo to refer to the brand it belongs to: a “works with” section, an article, a presentation or a comparison. Using a logo in a way that suggests the brand endorses you, in your own branding, or on products you sell usually needs the owner’s permission. Our Disclaimer and Terms of use explain more.

Where do the logos come from?

Single-colour logos come from Simple Icons and full-colour logos from the gilbarbara/logos collection. Both are open-source projects that release their drawings into the public domain. Each logo page links to the logo’s original source.

What’s the difference between the single-colour and full-colour versions?

A single-colour logo is one shape in one colour, which makes it easy to recolour or line up with other logos. A full-colour logo is the mark as the brand presents it, with every colour and detail. Many brands have both on MisterLogo.

Should I download SVG or PNG?

Use SVG for websites, apps and print, because it stays sharp at any size. Use PNG for slides, documents, emails and social media. Our article SVG or PNG? explains the difference in more detail.

How accurate are the colour codes?

HEX, RGB and HSL codes come from the logo collections, which record each brand’s official colour where it’s published. When a page says “Main colour” rather than “Brand colour”, we measured it from the logo file. CMYK values are approximate conversions, and we don’t list Pantone references, which should always come from the brand’s own guidelines.

Can I search by colour?

Yes. Type a hex code such as #FF0000 into any search box to find brands that use exactly that colour, or use the colour picker on the Colours page to rank every logo by how close it is to the colour you choose.

Why can’t I find a particular brand?

The open collections we use are strongest on technology and online brands, so some household names are missing. Email hello@misterlogo.net with the brand you were looking for and we’ll look into adding it.

How often is MisterLogo updated?

Every Monday. The site rebuilds itself from the latest versions of its logo collections, so new logos appear, updated logos are refreshed and removed logos disappear automatically.

I own a brand shown here. How do I get it changed or removed?

See our Removal requests page. We aim to respond within five working days, and removed logos stay off the site when the library updates.

Does MisterLogo use cookies?

The site only remembers whether you prefer logos in mono or colour, and that choice is stored in your own browser. If advertising is added in future, you’ll be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set. Our Privacy policy has the details.
